The Legal Assistant for the Insurance Litigation Practice Group will support attorneys at a full-service law firm serving clients locally and internationally. This role requires at least five years of litigation legal assistant experience in a law firm and proficiency in managing active case files, reviewing documents, scheduling, docketing, and compiling analyses. Responsibilities also include maintaining electronic files, adhering to court filing and scheduling procedures, and performing general office tasks. The position demands strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with knowledge of Imanage/FileSite and electronic court filing in federal and state courts as a plus. Typing speed of 70 words per minute, solid organizational skills, and business English proficiency are essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift 10 lbs and occasional movement around the office. Work hours are 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with flexibility for overtime as needed.
