The Unified Communications Specialist is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the firm’s communications infrastructure, ensuring seamless interaction for lawyers, staff, and clients. This role requires expertise in Microsoft Teams, Zoom One platform—including Zoom Phone—and related hardware. The specialist will deploy and support Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone, and Meetings, integrating these with existing IT systems and third-party applications. Additionally, they will liaise with service providers to resolve hardware and software issues in AV and telephony systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to diagnose problems, develop solutions, and train users and IT staff. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and security best practices is essential. Routine activities include managing updates, patches, and system health monitoring to minimize downtime. Key responsibilities involve maintaining Zoom and Cisco video conferencing equipment, analyzing call logs, troubleshooting conference room systems, and optimizing network configurations. The role demands certifications such as Cisco CCNA and CompTIA Network+ are advantageous, along with experience in cloud UC solutions, networking protocols, VoIP, and video conferencing. The specialist should possess strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills, with experience supporting AV integrations. The position is four days per week in-office, with travel up to 40% for system upgrades and troubleshooting, including some weekend work.
