Senior Litigation Paralegal
Our client is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal join their award-winning Complex Commercial Litigation group in their Los Angeles, CA office. In this role, you will work directly for a top recognized attorney. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience in commercial litigation.
What you’ll do
- Experience in filing in both state and federal courts, including appellate courts.
- Collects, organizes and maintains documents and files related to legal matters.
- Tracks and monitors active cases as needed.
- Drafts basic correspondence and pleadings, assisting and responding to discovery requests and production of documents, court filings (federal and state), and preparing for trial.
- Conducts research using LEXIS or Westlaw.
- Performs basic factual research and investigation related to client matters and other due diligence as appropriate.
- Manages eDiscovery process and vendors.
Qualifications
- 5 or more years of complex commercial litigation experience is preferred.
- Experience handling caseload of fast-paced and multi-party litigation matters including class actions.
- Strong organization skills with case files.
- Experience preparing for and attending depositions and trial.
- Advanced technical skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and e-discovery platforms (Relativity, Concordance).
The salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000. The actual base salary offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
