A leading law firm is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for its Century City office, playing a critical role in the firm’s IT Department with deep expertise in networking and advanced Windows Server management. The role involves architecting and maintaining critical infrastructure across networking and server environments, with added responsibility for certificate management and disaster recovery, while collaborating with administrative teams and attorneys to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability firmwide.

On the networking side, responsibilities include deploying and optimizing virtualization platforms (VMware, VxRail, NAS), designing Layer 2/3 network infrastructure, configuring routing protocols like BGP and OSPF, and managing firewall, NAT, and VPN configurations on platforms such as Palo Alto and Meraki. The engineer also leads SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management and PKI/CA administration, and troubleshoots complex WAN/LAN and network security issues. On the systems side, the role covers Windows Server environments (2012–2019), Active Directory administration, Domain Controller operations, Windows clustering for file and SQL servers, Hybrid Exchange administration, patch management, and backup/disaster recovery using Veeam.

Candidates should have scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or SQL), familiarity with MDM tools like MS Intune, PDQ, or Kaseya, and ideally experience with legal document management systems such as iManage, Relativity, or Aderant. Certifications like CCNA, CCIE, or CISSP are preferred, along with a bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering and at least five years of systems administration/engineering experience. This is an exempt role based in Century City with a phased onsite/hybrid schedule, offering a base salary of $135,000–$150,000.
