The Research Analyst role involves conducting in-depth legal and business research to support various practice areas and the firm’s business development efforts. This fast-paced position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines. The ideal candidate should be forward-thinking, proactive, and have a strong business acumen, with a focus on excellence and innovation. 

Key responsibilities include performing high-level research, analyzing and packaging findings, setting up legal and business alerts, maintaining the firm’s SharePoint resource pages, and providing training sessions for attorneys and paralegals. The analyst will also stay informed about legal developments and emerging technologies while billing time for research conducted.

Candidates should have a Master’s in Library and Information Science or a J.D., with at least 2 years of law firm experience. Strong research skills across databases like Lexis, Westlaw, and Bloomberg are required, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and communicate research findings clearly. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a service-oriented mindset and a commitment to professional growth.

The salary ranges from $80,000 to $110,000.
