The Litigation Secretary provides administrative and clerical support to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring smooth case management and meeting deadlines. Core duties include preparing and filing legal documents, creating court-specific materials like tables of contents and authorities, and managing proofs of service and service lists. The secretary handles court filings for state and federal courts, coordinates with attorney services, schedules legal proceedings, and organizes travel and reimbursements for attorneys. Additionally, responsibilities include client billing, organizing legal documents, and maintaining electronic and physical filing systems. The role requires proficiency in MS Office, iManage, Adobe PDF, and familiarity with time and billing software.

The ideal candidate has at least four years of litigation experience, including healthcare or labor and employment, and is adept in state and federal court filing, including e-filing. Candidates must be detail-oriented, capable of multitasking under tight deadlines, and able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms. A high school diploma is required, while a college degree is advantageous. Flexibility for overtime and a collaborative mindset are essential.
