Business Development Manager
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager for the International and White Collar Practices.
Overview: The Business Development Manager is responsible for providing support to lawyers in the firm's International and White Collar practices. This position will provide strategic guidance and manage tactics identified to achieve specific marketing, business development, client retention and expansion objectives. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting marketing and business development initiatives for the International department
- Working with lawyers and other staff departments (finance, IT, library, etc.) to draft and manage responses to RFPs and proposals and track business generated from them
- Preparing client development and prospect pitches and presentations
- With an outside PR firm, identifying and analyzing media, speaking, publishing, sponsorship and conference opportunities to meet department, practice and lawyer objectives
- Drafting original and updating existing collateral materials
- Drafting compelling firm ranking and other submissions
- Assisting with the integration and promotion of new laterals both internally and externally
- With the Events Manager, supporting the development, execution, internal/external promotion, evaluation and tracking of ROI for client, prospect and other events; and providing in-person support for local events
- Working to track business development efforts in the firm’s CRM system (InterAction)
- Coordinating with marketing personnel on all other firm and practice specific marketing initiatives
Requirements:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing or business development at a law firm
- A four-year degree; a degree in marketing or business is preferred
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
- Substantive experience with InterAction and LinkedIn
- Sterling organizational and project management skills and team-first orientation
- Demonstrated leadership experience, good judgment, and "boardroom presence
Position is exempt
Salary Range – $120,000 – $140,000
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
