Litigation E-Filing Specialist

The firm is seeking a Litigation E-Filing Specialist based in California to support the daily operations of the Managing Attorney’s Office. This role is responsible for managing the filing, service, and retrieval of court documents while ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and procedures. The specialist will perform electronic filings in state, federal district, and appellate courts, review incoming and outgoing court documents, and ensure that filings meet all procedural requirements. The position also involves tracking critical case deadlines, monitoring court dockets for updates, and entering key dates into centralized docketing software such as CourtAlert. Additional responsibilities include assisting attorneys with document research and retrieval, conducting case searches using legal databases and online resources, and communicating with court personnel and internal legal teams regarding filing procedures. The specialist may also assist with administrative projects and provide backup support as needed.

Qualified candidates should have a strong understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures, as well as familiarity with California state and federal court rules. A minimum of three years of experience in litigation docketing is preferred, ideally within a large law firm environment. Experience with rules-based calendaring systems such as CourtAlert, CompuLaw, or MA3000, as well as electronic filing platforms including PACER and NexGen, is highly desirable. Strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000 to $115,000, with eligibility for benefits and performance-based bonuses.
