The firm is seeking an experienced Patent Agent to join its Intellectual Property & Technology practice. This role focuses on supporting clients with the development, protection, and prosecution of patents across a variety of technologies. The Patent Agent will work closely with partners, attorneys, and other patent professionals to evaluate innovations and develop effective patent strategies. Key responsibilities include working directly with clients to identify and harvest inventions, advising on invention disclosures, drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, and guiding the prosecution of foreign patent applications. The role also involves evaluating emerging technologies, contributing to patent opinions, providing client counseling, supporting litigation efforts, and offering technical support across intellectual property matters.

Qualified candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. Candidates must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and have at least five years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications as a patent agent, preferably in a law firm or in-house environment. Strong analytical abilities, excellent technical and general writing skills, and the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts are essential. Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a client-focused approach.

The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $230,000, depending on location and experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package and discretionary bonuses.
