I really enjoyed working with Josh and Jessica. I can't thank them enough! I will say my only feedback is the resignation guide I was given when I was preparing to resign my previous position after accepting an offer. there were a couple pages devoted to why I shouldn't accept a counteroffer from my current employer and how it would "affect" my search firm, the firm who made me the offer, etc if I were to accept a counteroffer. It felt less interested in making sure I made the right decision for me (which is almost never accepting a counter) and more interested in making me feel obligated to accept the offer. I think it is plenty compelling to say "Counteroffers may be tempting, but 90% of people who accept a counteroffer from their current firm end up leaving within a year for the same reasons they wanted to leave in the first place." I think its important that all materials stay focused on how the candidate is being empowered to make the best professional choice for themselves, and not how the search firm's relationship with a firm may be impacted if I were to accept a counter offer, etc. Thanks!!
