The Senior Coordinator, Talent Acquisition & Development coordinates aspects of Talent Acquisition and attorney development programs for the Houston office.
In this capacity, the Senior Coordinator, Talent Acquisition & Development will:

Talent Acquisition
·        Coordinate Talent Acquisition initiatives and activities such as campus, targeted, diversity, and summer associate recruiting programs including: scheduling interviews, follow-up initiatives, hiring committee preparation, prospect outreach, coordination of work assignments, training and other social activities for summer associates, and other duties as they relate to talent acquisition; 
·        Monitor local recruiting budget;
·        Work closely with Lateral and Staff Talent Acquisition team members to onboard talent; and
·        Work closely with Talent Acquisition Global team members on firmwide initiatives and programs. 
Talent Development
·        Coordinate local Talent Development associate relations events and attorney in-house training programs;
·        Work closely with Talent Development Global team members to implement firm-wide directives and programs including coaching programs, training academies and other duties as they relate to talent development;
·        Support and oversee local Performance Management processes including assisting attorneys with performance approvals, reports and meetings; and
·        Monitor Associate Relations and Professional Development budgets.
Talent Management
·        Coordinate onboarding of all new hires including orientation, communication and integration;
·        Generate reports and develop recommendations for improvement by utilizing data and databases;
·        Work overtime as required, including attendance at special events in the evenings and/or on weekends;
·        Travel as needed for programs, activities and initiatives; and
·        Handle additional related projects as assigned.
Proficiencies:
·        Advanced proficiency in rules of English grammar, spelling and punctuation;
·        Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
·        Advanced proficiency with coordinating training programs and events;
·        Fundamental knowledge of legal recruiting and attorney development policies and procedures, as well as legal education, career and attorney development practices and philosophies; and
·        Fundamental knowledge of communication principles and practical applications.
Qualifications:
·        Bachelor’s degree (required);
·        At least 4 years of human resources, law school career services, attorney recruiting and/or development experience (preferred); and
·        At least 4 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (required).

The Coordinator, Talent Acquisition & Development coordinates aspects of Talent Acquisition and attorney development programs for our Washington, DC office.
In this capacity, the Coordinator, Talent Acquisition & Development will:
Talent Acquisition
  • Coordinate Talent Acquisition initiatives and activities such as campus, targeted, diversity, and summer associate recruiting programs including: scheduling interviews, follow-up initiatives, hiring committee preparation, prospect outreach, coordination of work assignments, training and other social activities for summer associates, and other duties as they relate to talent acquisition; 
  • Monitor local recruiting budget;
  • Work closely with Lateral and Staff Talent Acquisition team members to onboard talent; and
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition Global team members on firmwide initiatives and programs. 
Talent Development
  • Coordinate local Talent Development associate relations events and attorney in-house training programs;
  • Work closely with Talent Development Global team members to implement firm-wide directives and programs including coaching programs, training academies and other duties as they relate to talent development;
  • Support and oversee local Performance Management processes including assisting attorneys with performance approvals, reports and meetings; and
  • Monitor Associate Relations and Professional Development budgets.
Talent Management
  • Coordinate onboarding of all new hires including orientation, communication and integration;
  • Generate reports and develop recommendations for improvement by utilizing data and databases;
  • Work overtime as required, including attendance at special events in the evenings and/or on weekends;
  • Travel as needed for programs, activities and initiatives; and
  • Handle additional related projects as assigned.
Proficiencies:
  • Advanced proficiency in rules of English grammar, spelling and punctuation;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Advanced proficiency with coordinating training programs and events;
  • Fundamental knowledge of legal recruiting and attorney development policies and procedures, as well as legal education, career and attorney development practices and philosophies; and
  • Fundamental knowledge of communication principles and practical applications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (required);
  • At least 2 years of human resources, law school career services, attorney recruiting and/or development experience (preferred); and
  • At least 2 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (required).

  • Manage the data-mining process for new and existing matters. This includes gathering and maintaining information on fee arrangements, matter types, cost drivers, task coding, among other items.
  • Monitor compliance with Firm budgeting and pricing policies, as well as the financial aspects of client guidelines and terms; provide guidance to attorneys and support staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with Billing, eBilling, and Practice Specialists to ensure most current client financial arrangements are communicated and properly administered.
  • Collaborate with lawyers, practice management colleagues, and the marketing department to respond to RFPs, pitches, and other pricing proposals.

The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $95,000. Based in Houston, the Legal Secretary – Team Support is part of a team of secretaries that provides extensive secretarial support to attorneys in litigation, corporate/transactional, and real estate practice areas. This position may also directly support one or more litigation attorney.
This role reports to the Houston Director of Administration.
Responsibilities include:
  • Drafting letters, spreadsheets, presentations and shells/templates, including complex formatting and preparation of documents for filing with appellate courts, district courts and various state courts through attorney service and e-filing portals. This includes, but is not limited to, tables of authorities, exhibits, declarations and [proposed] orders.
  • Prepare corporate closing binders and signature packets, calculate litigation calendaring deadlines, coordinate and schedule depositions and office meetings and arrange and coordinate travel through office travel agency.
  • Familiarity with signature packets and real estate transaction closings is helpful but not required.
  • Researching and obtaining information, facilitating the completion of forms and processes, and other administrative tasks, including processing invoices, reimbursements and reviewing time entries.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of legal office procedures, demonstrate initiative and have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to use good judgment in handling tasks in a timely and professional manner with limited supervision.
  • Successful candidate must have strong litigation skills, the ability to work effectively with various courts, agencies, firm departments and offices, engage resources in an appropriate manner and complete other job duties as assigned.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, solid computer proficiencies and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and problem solving while remaining calm in deadline-driven situations is required.
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation, proofreading and spelling skills is integral.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team is essential.

Experience:

Based in Houston, the Legal Secretary – Team Support is part of a team of secretaries that provides extensive secretarial support to attorneys in litigation, corporate/transactional, and real estate practice areas. This position may also directly support one or more litigation attorney.

This role reports to the Houston Director of Administration.

Responsibilities include:
  • Drafting letters, spreadsheets, presentations and shells/templates, including complex formatting and preparation of documents for filing with appellate courts, district courts and various state courts through attorney service and e-filing portals. This includes, but is not limited to, tables of authorities, exhibits, declarations and [proposed] orders.
  • Prepare corporate closing binders and signature packets, calculate litigation calendaring deadlines, coordinate and schedule depositions and office meetings and arrange and coordinate travel through office travel agency.
  • Familiarity with signature packets and real estate transaction closings is helpful but not required.
  • Researching and obtaining information, facilitating the completion of forms and processes, and other administrative tasks, including processing invoices, reimbursements and reviewing time entries.
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Qualified candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of legal office procedures, demonstrate initiative and have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to use good judgment in handling tasks in a timely and professional manner with limited supervision.
  • Successful candidate must have strong litigation skills, the ability to work effectively with various courts, agencies, firm departments and offices, engage resources in an appropriate manner and complete other job duties as assigned.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, solid computer proficiencies and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and problem solving while remaining calm in deadline-driven situations is required.
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation, proofreading and spelling skills is integral.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team is essential.
  • Candidate will also exhibit a work ethic of punctuality and reliability.
 
 
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting litigation attorneys at a law firm.
  • Required computer experience includes a high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience in Adobe, Forms Workflow, Workshare Compare and Best Authority preferred.
  • The successful candidate will be given extensive training on the Firm’s software applications.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $80-100k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.

About the Role
The eDiscovery Solutions Attorney is an integral part of the Technology team. This role will be responsible for applying experience and advanced knowledge of eDiscovery strategies and best practices to provide advanced technical and workflow guidance to case teams, Practice Support Services (“PSS”) colleagues, and directly to strategic clients of the firm, while functioning as the primary liaison between client eDiscovery teams/counsel and case teams to ensure that client requirements and/or protocols are executed on a matter level, which includes training case team members and PSS staff on any client directives for handling eDiscovery. This role will be located in the Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

 Responsibilities & Qualifications 
Other key responsibilities include:
  • Functioning as the primary liaison between client eDiscovery teams / counsel and case teams to ensure that client requirements and / or protocols are executed on a matter level, which includes training case team members and PSS staff on any client directives for handling eDiscovery
  • Understanding both the legal issues and technology issues of a case to assist the case team with Electronically Stored Information (“ESI”) protocols, orders, meetings with counsel, conferences, and overall strategy
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and assessing emerging technology solutions including natural language processing, artificial intelligence, and GenAI solutions for their suitability in electronic discovery workflows
  • Advising case teams on collection strategies for clients who have recurring litigation needs involving the same individuals
  • Advising on strategies for identifying key custodians and sources of ESI, including structured and unstructured data, and prioritizing these records data for early analysis and review
  • Leading data mapping calls with client and client IT team to explore enterprise and custodial data sources; discussing any potential challenges with various data sources and assisting the case team with an action plan to address
  • Developing a thorough understanding of client data storage policies and protocols including backup strategies, retention policies, storage limitations, use of home-based and personal devices, departed employee data, to advise on preservation and collection
  • Advising case teams and client on collaboration platforms (Slack, Teams, Bloomberg, etc.), messaging platforms (WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, etc.) and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Discord, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) as well as structured data sources and explain to case teams the nuances for their collection, review, and production
  • Consulting with case team for the review objectives; advises and recommends strategies on the use of advanced document review technology, including Technology Assisted Review (TAR), analytics and initial sampling; establishes and documents baseline statistical targets
  • Implementing workflows for document review including the use of advanced technology and Technology Assisted Review (TAR) and ensures all case team members, PSS staff, and contract attorneys are trained on the document review tools as well as the review workflow
  • Evaluating search terms to determine effectiveness of the search strategy; advising case teams on effective search techniques; preparing reports on search term effectiveness, including hit counts, precision, and recall metrics, to inform the legal team and adjust strategies, as necessary
  • Exhibit expert knowledge of the concepts, principles, management, and processing of ESI as they relate to legal matters, including the use of various ESI management and review tools and applications
  • Possess extensive knowledge of eDiscovery review platforms and related technologies such as Relativity, Nuix, Brainspace, NexLP, Disco and other industry leading tools
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills (e.g., organizing, planning, problem solving and decision-making, commitment to diversity)

The expected salary range for this position is between $155,000 and $185,000. The actual base salary offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

Our client is seeking a Client Accounting Alternative Fee Agreements Analyst to join the Firm.  This position will be based in the New York office (hybrid).  In this role, you will review and analyze documents and data, execute projects, capture data and synthesize and present information regarding Alternative Fee Agreements to partners and senior management to meet the evolving needs of the Firm. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Analyzes documentation and data to create and manage database records summarizing alternative fee agreements (AFAs); performs ongoing maintenance of related database.
  • Works cross-functionally, joining data from various sources, interpreting findings, and summarizing within the context of legal services provided.
  • Monitors and analyzes performance of individual matters and portfolios of business against established budgets, revenue, and realization.
  • Responsible for leveraging precedent and historical data to problem solve and support effective decision making with a solutions oriented approach
  • Prepares fee proposals based on the nature of services and type of fee arrangement.
  • Compiles and analyzes historical data, identifies trends, and recommends optimal fee structures to offer services profitably.
  • Comprehends and responds to inquiries, providing relevant knowledge and support to the executive management of the Firm in a manner that demonstrates strategic thinking and facilitates the implementation of AFAs.

Market analyses and client development

Client targeting and new business development

  • For opportunities coming from regional targeting initiatives and client expansion programs, advise lawyers on new business opportunities, and providing support on the development of the approach, team, proposition, and supporting materials (i.e., credentials, targeted events etc.)
Strategic business planning and reporting
  • Consult with the regional corporate leaders, the partners in charge, the regional litigation leadership, and colleagues in marketing & BD to develop and implement strategic plans and marketing budgets that coordinate with global practice group goals and objectives, setting long and short-term goals for the market
  • Proactively manage implementation and execution of strategic plans with the regional corporate leaders, the partners in charge and regional litigation leadership, including responsibility for periodic meetings and overseeing specialist preparing reports, analysis, and progress monitoring
Profile raising, marketing campaigns and events
  • Work with local business development team members to develop strong relationships with associations and industry organizations that attract and engage prospective clients, influencers, and referral sources in support of business plan goals
  • Develop event strategy for market based on market and competitive analyses and in support of business plan goals
  • Report on the success of activities with key stakeholders and provide recommendations for future
  • Strategize with PR team to advance the profile-raising efforts of the market
  • Partner with marketing colleagues to advise on content for regional surveys, specific lawyer and practice awards and accolades
  • Support integration of lateral lawyers into general corporate or ECVC practices within the market

  • Collaborate and strategize closely with global practice group marketing colleagues to understand additional planned activity in assigned market, and to maximize collaboration and ROI on all activities
  • Serve as direct supervisor and mentor to direct reports
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of direct reports, ensure compliance with assigned work hours and monitor for compliance with all firm and department policies. Manage staffing coverage, review and process time logs/time off requests
  • Support business professional development and continued educational opportunities
  • In collaboration with immediate supervisor and Central HR, participate in hiring, performance appraisals, counseling, termination and other employee lifecycle events

Skills and experience:
Required:

The Senior Administrative Manager oversees the daily operations of assigned departments for the local office and reports into the Director of Business Operations.

In this capacity, the Senior Administrative Manager will:
  • Manage team(s) and resources responsible for all support functions in the California offices; Manage team performance and set goals, ensure the team’s continuous professional development;
  • Resident in the Century City office;
  • Administer the Firm’s initiatives and operations at the local level, such as office implementations, projects, programs and events;
  • Advise and administer budget control and maintenance for areas of responsibility;
  • Plan office events (onsite and offsite), managing events budgets, and facilitate community outreach programs;
  • Partner with internal parties and external resources;
  • Manage administrative operations and services for assigned offices, including client support services, office services, records and facilities.  Administer the Firm’s initiatives and operations as assigned, including but not limited to office process implementation projects, programs, events, new hire orientations and employee departures;
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments across offices;

Qualifications:

We have an opening for a Senior Administrative Manager in our Century City office.
The Senior Administrative Manager oversees the daily operations of assigned departments for the local office and reports into the Director of Business Operations.
In this capacity, the Senior Administrative Manager will:
  • Manage team(s) and resources responsible for all support functions in our California offices; Manage team performance and set goals, ensure the team’s continuous professional development;
  • Resident in our Century City office;
  • Administer the Firm’s initiatives and operations at the local level, such as office implementations, projects, programs and events;
  • Advise and administer budget control and maintenance for areas of responsibility;
  • Plan office events (onsite and offsite), managing events budgets, and facilitate community outreach programs;
  • Partner with internal parties and external resources;
  • Manage administrative operations and services for assigned offices, including client support services, office services, records and facilities.  Administer the Firm’s initiatives and operations as assigned, including but not limited to office process implementation projects, programs, events, new hire orientations and employee departures;
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments across offices;
  • Conduct new hire orientations, coordinate training, and facilitate on-boarding of both attorneys and business professionals;
  • Manage administration-related vendor relationships for areas of responsibility;
  • Work collaboratively with Firmwide Departments to implement and support tools and programs for areas of responsibility;
  • Interfacing with Firmwide Departments to facilitate compliance with local rules and regulations and peer practices;
  • Work beyond scheduled hours as required; and
  • Handle additional related projects as necessary.
Proficiencies:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Advanced proficiency in planning, allocating and reconciling an operations budget;
  • Advanced knowledge of office administration and services procedures and practices, preferably in a legal environment;
  • Advanced knowledge of records management, preferably in a legal environment;
  • Advanced knowledge of facilities procedures and practices;
  • Fundamental knowledge of reception procedures and practices; and
  • Advanced knowledge of legal office terminology and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred) or equivalent professional work experience;
  • At least 5 years of management experience (preferred);
  • At least 10 years of work process and procedure experience (required); and
  • At least 10 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (required).

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $138,800 and a maximum of $201,300 annually.  The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
