The Trademark Senior Paralegal or Paralegal Specialist provides substantive legal services under the direct supervision of a lawyer, supporting tasks related to trademark and general legal matters. The role involves preparing and filing both foreign and domestic trademark applications, drafting client and foreign associate communications, performing preliminary trademark searches, and reviewing office actions. Additional responsibilities include preparing documents for trademark litigation, managing the trademark docket, and assisting with TTAB proceedings. The paralegal may also handle copyright-related tasks or develop proficiency in this area.
General duties include drafting, analyzing, and preparing legal documents, coordinating legal projects, and summarizing facts and legal concepts. The position involves supervising junior paralegals and project assistants, maintaining a notary license, attending client and coordination meetings, and ensuring compliance with firm policies and professional guidelines.
A minimum of 1,536 creditable hours per year is required, with flexibility in working hours to accommodate heavy workloads. The role demands strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized legal software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certification and relevant experience ranging from 7 to 18 years, depending on the level. The expected salary range is $93,693.60 to $174,570, depending on qualifications and location.
