This full-time, temporary litigation paralegal role supports attorneys in the Boston office, with additional collaboration across the New York and D.C. offices. The position runs from approximately August 2025 through January 2026 and offers a hybrid work model, though flexibility for in-office presence is required based on attorney needs.
Under attorney supervision, the paralegal will assist throughout the litigation lifecycle, including motion practice, discovery, trial preparation, and appellate matters. Key duties include filing complaints, managing court deadlines using CourtAlert, preparing pleadings and legal briefs, cite-checking using The Bluebook, and electronic or in-person court filings. The role also involves assisting with discovery document review, coordinating subpoenas and depositions, organizing trial exhibits, managing trial technology, and ensuring compliance with appellate procedures.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (paralegal certificate preferred) and at least two years of litigation experience, ideally within a law firm. Strong knowledge of court systems, e-filing platforms, and civil/appellate rules is essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate initiative, multitasking ability, and strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation tools like CourtAlert and Relativity is required. The role involves standard work hours with occasional overtime. No direct reports or physical demands are noted.
