Senior Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with the Office Manager to support accounting, tax, payroll, and administrative functions within a small, family-owned real estate office. This role involves maintaining general ledgers, processing payroll, preparing financial statements, managing QuickBooks, handling accounts payable, and assembling tax information for the CPA. The Senior Staff Accountant will also assist with regulatory filings, bank reconciliations, and office management tasks, including maintaining files, ordering supplies, and managing property and entity records. Additionally, this position will support the Office Manager’s duties during absences and assist family members with bookkeeping and bill payments.

Qualified candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience, preferably with a CPA firm, and possess strong skills in accounting and tax preparation. Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office, and excellent organizational abilities are essential, along with attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position, with flexible hours (30-40 per week) to accommodate commute and personal obligations. A valid driver’s license is required, as the role occasionally involves handling office errands.
