Description

Our client is seeking a Practice Solutions Coordinator. This position will be located in the Baltimore, MD office and is an integral part of the firm’s Practice Solutions team.  Practice Solutions sits under the firm’s Legal Operations department and is responsible for Litigation Support and oversight/support of the firm’s Transactional and M&A support programs.  They are a small, but vital team, with strong work ethics and a passion for the eDiscovery field and the firm and department’s success.  Under the supervision of the Director of Practice Solutions, the incumbent will function as an administrative support as well as a junior eDiscovery coordinator for the team.  Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring all monthly maintenance/mitigation tasks are completed for the firm’s eDiscovery and Transactional and M&A systems
  • Coordinating with the firm’s Director of Practice Solutions and Senior Project Manager on data logging, data disposition, and information governance actions on open and closed eDiscovery matters
  • Assisting the firm’s Director of Practice Solutions and Senior Project Manager with case related tasks/work within all phases of the EDRM including, but not limited to:
    • production preparation, quality control, and upload;
    • transcript and exhibit preparation, quality control, and upload;
    • collection, analysis, upload, and preparation of relevant eDiscovery materials from clients and other 3rd parties;
    • working within firm database systems to run simple and complex searches, tag and code materials, troubleshoot user issues; and other tasks as needed/assigned
  • Assisting the firm’s Director of Practice Solutions and Senior Project Manager with case related tasks/work within our Transactional and M&A stack of products as needed.

Qualified candidates should possess 3-5 years of experience working in a law firm or professional services environment and a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Litigation/eDiscovery experience and/or CEDS certification is a plus.  Consideration will be given to candidates that can demonstrate their basic knowledge of eDiscovery and are familiar with MS Office, online eDiscovery review, and data management tools such as Relativity and Opus2.

To be successful, the Practice Solutions Coordinator must be highly organized, detail oriented, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.  They must be a self-starter who is able to prioritize, manage, and complete work in a timely fashion as needed/requested by both the Practice Solutions team and internal case teams, be inquisitive and willing to ask questions when tasks are unclear/not understood, have a desire learn about and become well-versed in eDiscovery and firm’s eDiscovery tools, and be an active participant in ongoing educational opportunities both internally and externally.  Qualified candidates will need to demonstrate that they have a clear understanding of the importance of teamwork and open and clear communications particularly in a hybrid work environment. This is a fast paced environment and candidates must be able to shift priories as needed. This position has robust opportunities for advancement for the right candidate as we are a growing department within the firm. 

The Practice Solutions Coordinator will be required to work in the Baltimore office at least 3 times per week (hybrid work schedule) and travel to other local offices as needed.
