The Paralegal – Healthcare position involves providing complex support under the supervision of attorneys for client case teams. Primary duties include preparing and maintaining case files and medical record summaries for medical malpractice and personal injury cases, researching expert witnesses, organizing materials for attorney review, and utilizing various computer applications for case management. Responsibilities also encompass assisting with document production, drafting correspondence and legal documents, conducting investigative research, and maintaining databases. Paralegals will help prepare for depositions, coordinate motions and briefs, and assist with trial preparations, ensuring the organization of materials and electronic presentations. Effective liaison with internal departments and external sources for information gathering is essential. Familiarity with California and Federal civil procedure codes is beneficial. Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate and have more than 5 years of relevant experience. The position offers a salary range of $100,000 – $110,000 in California, with variability based on experience and skills. Additional compensation includes performance-based bonuses and profit-sharing contributions.
