Matter Mobility Senior Analyst
The IG Matter Mobility Senior Analyst (Senior Analyst) is responsible for overseeing the execution processes for the transfer of electronic client/matter records into and from the Firm, and for assisting with Firm related Legal Holds and Production Requests.  This position works closely with the Matter Mobility Analyst(s) to coordinate, track and monitor processes and workflow. The Senior Analyst reports to the IG Matter Mobility Manager.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Matter Mobility analyst(s) to implement and execute policies and processes regarding the transfer of client/matter records into and out of the Firm.

Liaise with Firm personnel, outside counsel contacts, and/or clients regarding perimeters of request.

Work with Incoming and Departing Members to prioritize mobility requests.

Ensure client requests for return or transfer of records are properly and timely processed and that transfer processes are followed and documented.

Ensure inbound records are correctly classified and assigned to the correct client/matter within all applicable Firm systems.

Oversee the importing of electronic records into document management and other Firm IT systems.

Perform database searches, audits and record reviews to ensure records are exported according to applicable criteria.

Coordinate with other Business Services teams as necessary regarding import/export of data.

Apply lifecycle management to outgoing data (e.g. ensuring staging copies are deleted in a timely fashion).

Perform quality control of all client transfer, litigation hold, and production processes performed by analysts.

Serve as a resource to answer questions regarding the transfer and movement of client and Firm records.

Assist with other data movement/clean-up initiatives, such as mailbox organization and filing, moving/importing data to the DMS from shared drives, etc.

Assume additional responsibilities as requested.

This role requires 60% in office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required. 

5+ years’ experience in Information Governance, or experience as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant or similar role in a law firm preferred.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to influence others.

Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, prioritize multiple projects on a daily basis, and adjust to shifting priorities.

Strong planning, project management and organizational skills. 

Strong sense of urgency.

 Facility analyzing, working with and presenting data.

Ability to collaborate and gain the respect, trust, and confidence of the Firm’s attorneys and professional staff.

Possess a “hands-on” tactical approach.

Creative and proactive approach to problem solving.

Facilitate teamwork and identify opportunities to develop new processes/infrastructure.

Demonstrated ability to grasp and implement new concepts quickly.

Strong analytical abilities, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
