Manager of Partner Recruiting

Our client has an opening for a Manager of Partner Recruiting to join their Recruiting team in either the Kansas City, Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Denver or Washington DC.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full lifecycle of all aspects of the attorney recruiting process, under direction of CRO, Director of Attorney Recruiting and practice group leaders
  • Review and track lateral shareholder and associate candidates
    • Document all recruiting activity through applicant tracking system (Vi Desktop) and internal charts
    • Prepare and distribute candidate and bio readiness preparation including background, work experience and applicable book of business
  • Serve as primary contact for candidate interview and selection process including coordinating with candidates, search firms, firm attorneys, and internal teams
  • Prepare preliminary lateral questionnaire summary and offer request documents
  • Coordinate with firm Conflicts team on candidate clearance process and due diligence
  • Develop and manage relationships with legal search firms
  • Develop recruiting strategies for applicants and groups
  • Supervise placement fee agreements and track placement fee invoices
  • Active participation in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives
  • Active participation is other department projects as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn other applications as defined by department needs (e.g. applicant tracking system)
Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree (Four-year College or university)
Experience:
Five to Eight years related experience in a large law firm
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft programs including, but not limited to Word, Outlook Excel, and PowerPoint.  Broad knowledge of legal specific programs preferred.   Knowledge of ViDesktop and Zoom required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a service-oriented approach. Must have the ability to communicate and interact with candidates, all levels of firm personnel, and external entities in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to juggle multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to work with a high degree of independence.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, excellent judgment, flexibility, and maintain confidential information at all times.
  • Some travel may be required with this position.
