Litigation Legal Assistant

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and organized Legal Assistant to join their team. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to our legal team and ensuring that all legal documents are properly filed and organized. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting correspondence; and typing and formatting legal documents;
  • Opening, organizing, managing and closing files;
  • Assist attorneys with research and preparation for trials and hearings;
  • Highly proficient in scheduling meetings and managing calendars; and making and/or changing travel arrangements;
  • Effectively communicate with witnesses, clients, colleagues and partners;
  • Perform general administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years experience in a litigation support role in the practice areas of Business & Commercial Litigation, Real Estate, General Litigation, and Foreclosure is required;
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management software;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
