Litigation Docketing & Calendar Specialist

The Litigation Docket & Calendar Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate litigation calendars and ensuring compliance with State, Federal, Local, and Judges’ rules. This role requires strong knowledge of litigation procedures, deadline calculations, and court rules, with a focus on attention to detail and independent work. The specialist will research court resources, respond promptly to attorney and staff inquiries, and review team members’ work to support a cohesive docketing team.

Candidates should have 1–5 years of litigation docketing experience in a law firm or clerk’s office, with familiarity using automated, rules-based docket systems, preferably CompuLaw. Strong knowledge of state and federal civil procedure rules is essential, with a preference for expertise in California, Texas, Illinois, Washington DC, Virginia, or Maryland court rules.

The role demands flexibility, reliability, clear communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Proficiency with docketing software and a typing speed of at least 45 WPM are preferred.

This is a hybrid role based in a Sheppard Mullin office, with remote work flexibility and occasional in-office attendance. Overtime may be required. Salary range: $75K–$85K.
