Our client seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced, client-focused Healthcare Department. This full-time position offers a hybrid schedule after 90 days and requires immediate availability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational abilities, critical thinking skills, and a commitment to high-quality client service.
Key responsibilities include managing complex scheduling needs, maintaining attorney calendars, preparing legal documents such as retainer agreements and pleadings, handling client correspondence, and managing incoming mail and case-related data. The role also involves opening new litigation matters, conducting conflict checks, tracking deadlines, supporting billing and collections processes, and ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy laws and firm protocols.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of legal assistant experience in a law firm, with healthcare law exposure preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kofax (Adobe), DocuSign, Zoom, NetDocuments, and SurePoint or similar tools is required. The successful candidate will excel at calendar and inbox management, multitasking, and drafting legal correspondence. A polished, professional demeanor and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
Salary range: $70,000 – $80,000
