IT Learning and Use Experience Specialist

CM Legal
A leading law firm seeks an IT Learning and User Experience Specialist for its San Diego or Los Angeles office. Reporting to the IT Manager – User Experience, this hybrid role (60% in-office) focuses on two areas: delivering technical training and improving the end-user experience with the firm’s technology.
Key responsibilities include developing and conducting new hire and ongoing software training, creating user-focused guides and eLearning materials, and serving as a subject matter expert on Microsoft Office, iManage, and other legal systems. The specialist will collaborate with IT teams and users to gather feedback, assist in change management for technology rollouts, and recommend user adoption strategies.
Additionally, the role involves participating in user experience research such as focus groups and journey mapping, supporting IT projects from planning through implementation, and providing escalated HelpDesk support when needed.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of applications training experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Strong communication, presentation, customer service, and technical skills are required.
The salary range for this California-based role is $100,000–$115,000 with bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package. Some travel and occasional overtime are expected.
