Information Governance Analyst

The Information Governance Analyst plays a crucial role in managing Information Governance (IG) operations throughout the information lifecycle within a professional team. This position collaborates with various stakeholders, including practice groups, leadership, and administrative departments, to enhance IG capabilities, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic goals and compliance with legal and ethical obligations.

Key responsibilities include supporting the firm’s IG program by monitoring processes, aiding in policy implementation for client and administrative record management, and developing lifecycle processes for records preservation. The Analyst works closely with leaders to document requirements for IG technologies, manages operational requests, and ensures accurate data handling and classification.

Qualifications for the role include a college degree, preferably in Information Systems, and at least two years of relevant experience in a law firm or comparable organization. Familiarity with IG technologies, data management, and privacy regulations such as GDPR is essential. Candidates should possess strong analytical, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, alongside excellent communication abilities. The position is non-exempt, reports to the Information Governance Manager, and offers a hybrid workplace with a salary range of $82,000 – $116,000 based on location.
