SUMMARY
The Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for assisting with maintaining, supporting, and customizing the financial systems of the Firm. The role will involve creating financial reports, performing design and document system updates, improving workflows, and making appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness, while ensuring financial information data integrity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support financial systems and applications including Elite, 3E, Advanced Financial Solutions (xcelerate), Chrome River, FAS, and ARCs
- Provide system maintenance, monitoring, business continuity, and problem resolution for the financial systems environment
- Provide end user support, training and documentation
- Active participant of core team to carry out the implementation of the new financial system, 3E
- Identify issues and make corrections to processes or data as needed
- Develop custom reports and queries for accounting and management
- Work with software vendors or internal resources to install, configure and test applications
- Customize applications as needed, working with outside vendors as applicable
- Maintain security of applications
- Assist with implementing and upgrading systems and applications as needed
- Provide data and reports to Accounting and other members of the Firm using various tools such as SQL, Elite and Excel
- Other duties and tasks as assigned or required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Accounting/Finance
- 3+ years of financial systems experience, preferably in a law firm setting, or other professional services environment
SPECIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Working knowledge of Elite Enterprise accounting software, 3E, or Aderant preferred
- Must have advanced computer skills including Word and Excel (i.e. ability to work with VLookups and Pivot Tables)
- Proficiency in SQL
- Proven analytical and written and oral communication skills a must
- Solid understanding of financial processes and transaction flows
- Ability to provide high level analysis of data with complex assignments
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable learning new software programs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all financial matters
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects effectively
