Our client is currently seeking a Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join a fast-paced team.

Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree; paralegal certificate preferred
- 2+ years’ experience as a trusts and estates paralegal involving estate planning as well as administration of trusts and estates
- Experience handling varied aspects of trusts and estates practice including;
- Administration of estates including probate of wills, inventory of assets and valuations, preparation of estate and inheritance tax returns
- Trust administration experience
- Preparation of gift tax returns
- Experience dealing with ownership of entities, such as formation and assignment documents
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and effective communication skills both orally and written
- Strong computer skills with proficient in MS Office Suite and document management systems
- Must be able to work independently and be proactive
- Must be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands daily
Responsibilities
- Administration of estates including probate of wills, inventory of assets and valuations, preparation of estate and inheritance tax returns
- Preparation of Crummey notices and handling contribution to trusts
- Preparation of gift tax returns
- Drafting documents such as deeds, agreements settling account of fiduciaries, trusteeship changes, disclaimers, decant of trusts
- Drafting formation and assignment documents related to ownership of entities
