The Boston office of a prominent law firm is seeking a full-time Estate Administrator to join its Private Wealth Services practice. This dynamic role involves collaborating with clients, attorneys, and various professionals to support estate and trust administration. Key responsibilities include advising fiduciaries and beneficiaries on the administration process, organizing and analyzing asset information, interpreting wills and trust documents, and coordinating asset valuations and allocations. The administrator will also prepare essential documents such as inventories, probate filings, fiduciary reports, and estate and gift tax returns. Additional duties include maintaining financial records, computing beneficiary distributions, and researching applicable state and federal laws.

Candidates should possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, along with excellent time management and organizational abilities. A self-starter attitude and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and tax return software are essential. The ideal candidate will have over five years of relevant experience, familiarity with fiduciary income tax returns, and knowledge of local probate procedures. A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and an active bar license are preferred. The role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and involves moderate to advanced keyboard use.
