The Docketing & Court Services Clerk supports the firm’s automated docket and calendar system, primarily for California state and federal cases, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, report preparation, and communication with case teams. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating the CourtAlert system, generating daily and weekly reports, and managing workflows related to litigation scheduling and calendaring. The clerk evaluates current docketing processes, recommends improvements, and addresses requests from attorneys and staff regarding litigation scheduling and court rules. They provide first-level support for e-filing in California state and federal courts and assist with case record access and administration. When available, the clerk may also support general paralegal tasks in the California offices.
Qualified candidates should have at least two years of docketing experience, preferably at an AMLAW 100 or 200 firm in California, and hands-on knowledge of the CourtAlert system. Familiarity with California and federal court rules, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. A degree from an accredited U.S. college or university is required. The position requires discretion, integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality, with Pacific Time Zone hours for remote work. The salary ranges from $66,900 to $100,800, depending on location and experience.
