The Docketing & Court Services Clerk is responsible for supporting the Firm’s automated docket and calendar system within the DC Metro Area, which includes Virginia and Maryland, as well as federal cases. Key duties involve entering docket dates, maintaining data in the CourtAlert system, and preparing reports on lawyer deadlines. The clerk also facilitates information workflows for scheduling and calendaring, evaluates processes for improvements, and provides first-level support for DMV state and federal filings and document access. Other responsibilities include assisting with general paralegal tasks and maintaining high standards of confidentiality with sensitive information.

Qualifications needed include a minimum of two years’ experience in docketing or litigation calendar databases at an AMLAW 100 or 200 firm, hands-on experience with the CourtAlert system, and knowledge of DMV and federal court rules. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work under pressure and a familiarity with Microsoft Office. While a degree from an accredited U.S. institution is required, prior paralegal experience is considered a plus. The role is remote and non-exempt, reporting to the Docketing & Court Services Manager, with a salary range of $66,000 – $100,500, depending on experience and location.
