Desktop Services Manager

The Desktop Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of workforce technology—laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals. This onsite role involves managing a team of technicians, coordinating asset delivery and maintenance, and ensuring reliable end-user support. The manager collaborates with IT, cybersecurity, and firm leadership to drive device strategy, ensure system security, maintain documentation, and deliver a seamless tech experience.

Candidates should have 7+ years of experience (including 4+ years in management) in IT service operations, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. Proficiency in Windows systems, device management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune), and ITIL/ITSM best practices is essential. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, along with experience managing vendors and budgets.

This exempt position reports to the Director of IT Service Management and offers a salary range of $153,000 – $216,000. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and able to lead in a fast-paced, client-focused environment while upholding strict confidentiality standards. Applicants must be based in D.C. and available for occasional on-call support.
