Case Manager
The Washington, DC office of our client is seeking a Case Manager to join the dynamic Litigation and Trial Support team. The individual will support attorneys and staff by facilitating case administration and workflow management across the entire office. In addition, they will serve as a supervisor to the Litigation Legal Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and/or coordinate work assignments and training of litigation legal assistant
- Manage the lifecycle of assigned cases, and advise on best practices relating to document production, workflow management and the case team
- Serve as lead in document collection and projects relating to privilege and redaction logs
- Serve as point person between case teams and attorneys; appropriately delegate work to junior legal assistants on the case teams and coordinate their activities to accomplish deposition and witness interview preparation goals
- Help attorneys to manage billable work time required by the case teams to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective support
- Lead team in gathering and preparing documents relevant to witnesses
- Collect documents and data, conduct fact investigations, and assist with witness interviews
- Manage document collections and ensure appropriate handling of electronic discovery materials and compliance with legal discovery obligations
- Facilitate orderly case administration and reporting through implementation of internal matter management tools and systems, taking the lead in working with attorneys in the preparation and filing of all court documents.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent litigation experience required; Paralegal certificate preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of extensive litigation experience required; IP experience preferred
- Previous trial and case management experience required; must have strong experience with cite checking legal motions and memoranda
- Experience with Summation and/or Concordance or other litigation software required
- Thorough knowledge of research tools such as LEXIS/NEXIS, CLEAR, Westlaw

The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000. The actual base salary offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
