The Budget Controller plays a crucial role in overseeing the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis functions within a firm, collaborating closely with the Director of Accounting and Chief Financial Officer. Essential responsibilities include coordinating the budget processes, designing budgeting policies, and maintaining strong relationships with departments to streamline finance reporting. The position requires advanced analytical skills to interpret complex financial data, conduct variance analysis, and support strategic decision-making through forecasting and reporting initiatives.
The Budget Controller also manages the Budget Tool, ensuring accuracy in financial data and maximizing efficiency through system management. Key qualifications for this role include a four-year degree in a related field, a minimum of five years in budgeting or financial analysis, and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel and Power BI. Successful candidates possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to relay complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
The anticipated base salary for the position ranges from $150,000 to $175,000, depending on various factors such as qualifications, experience, and location.
