Billing Supervisor – Los Angeles, CA
The Billing Supervisor will act as a resource for the firm on billing processes, procedures, and policies, in addition to preparing complex bills. Additionally, this position will keep abreast of current procedures, make recommendations to senior management, describe ways to increase efficiency and accuracy, implement new procedures and projects, and ensure all measures are taken to train and develop staff on new procedures. The Billing Supervisor is expected to apply their organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude.
What you’ll do
- Responsible for managing the Billing staff in the Los Angeles office and the daily operations in the Billing department. This includes coaching, mentoring, and overseeing the staff’s workflow and performance to support the firm’s vision, values, and culture.
- Promotes effective work practices and guides staff in multiple offices toward attaining their goals.
- Resolves highly complex and sensitive billing issues, and has the authority to process exceptions and transactions that aide in the timely and accurate resolution of complex inquiries referred by practice office staff.
- Resolves service-related activity for the firm regarding bill management and processing.
- Responds to all forms of inquiries from all offices and other internal customers in a timely manner and escalates issues to the Billing Manager or other firm management as needed.
- Performs quality assurance activities for the practice offices designed to review the productivity and accuracy of bills and the client service inquiry process. Ensures that appropriate responses are applied in compliance with the firm’s policy, procedures, and standards.
- Maintains knowledge of office results to cultivate training and development opportunities and implement process enhancements.
- Acts as the firm’s 3E process expert and is responsible for designing, delivering and implementing the team’s training courses and materials.
- Provides and compiles documentation and feedback for all training programs to reflect successful outcomes.
- Develops and recommends policies and procedures that will advance the firm and successfully achieve its goals and objectives.
- Coordinates with practice office staff and attorneys to administer billing transactions as required.
- Prepares and processes bills with a high degree of complexity, while providing superior client service.
- Completes projects on various issues when needed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $140,000. The actual base salary offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
