A leading law firm seeks an experienced Bankruptcy Legal Assistant for its Los Angeles office. This role provides essential support to bankruptcy attorneys by managing all aspects of case preparation, filing, and administrative coordination. Key responsibilities include drafting and filing bankruptcy-related documents, gathering information from relevant parties, obtaining credit reports, submitting Proofs of Claim, and managing electronic case filings with state and federal bankruptcy courts. Additional duties involve preparing materials for hearings, composing correspondence, maintaining case files, scheduling meetings and travel, and coordinating with internal departments, including Finance for billing matters.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of direct experience in bankruptcy law, proficiency in electronic case filing systems, and familiarity with legal terminology and bankruptcy procedures. Strong typing (75+ wpm), document formatting, organizational, and communication skills are required. Candidates must also be proficient in Microsoft Office and tools like PACER, Westlaw, and Relativity. A high school diploma is required; some college is preferred.

This position follows a hybrid work policy, allowing four remote workdays per month. The office environment is collaborative and professional, with occasional overtime as needed. Salary range is $85,000–$105,000 annually, depending on experience and performance. The firm complies with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
